Zebedee is a large goods engine who is the Callast Incline banker. He is also the spokesperson and flagship engine of the Waterdown Railway, and because of this and his agreeable nature, acts as the leader of the engines.
CHARACTER HISTORY
Zebedee was built during the Second World War. At some point in the war, Zebedee was badly damaged and was rebuilt from an 8F into a 9F. As the largest and most powerful engine on the railway, he is the spokesperson and leader of all the engines on the line. Although he tends to follow orders, his first loyalty is to his fellow engines, as was demonstrated when he and Boomer assisted Ember in escaping the Masonry Bridge scrapyard.
CHARACTER PERSONA
Zebedee is the leader of all the engines of Waterdown. This is likely because of his kind hearted, loyal and strong yet compromising nature, allowing him to become friends with all the engines of Waterdown, even Cojak. He even shows somewhat of a good working relationship with Mr Traverse. The only engine he has shown any adversity towards is Whistler of Masonry Bridge Scrapyard.
LIVERY
Zebedee is currently painted in a plain black llvery. He has a large white star on his tender.
BASIS
Zebedee's basis is a British Railways Standard Class 9F. However, According to Dev-Khan, Zebedee was formerly a Stanier 8F.

- Zebedee (along with Sherlock Hill) has had a model Change in Episode 4.
- A possible sibling of Zebedee, Evening Star, can be seen on the back of Mr. Traverse's program in Kindred Spirits.
- It was confirmed by new Crossed Lines Canon overlord Stuart House in 2019 that Zebedee is a Power-Bottom.
